What is the Coaching Process?

Once you’ve made the decision to enlist a Life Coach to guide you on the path to attain your goals and dreams, the journey begins. After an initial exploration by phone, we will make an appointment to set the groundwork for our future collaboration. My main intention at this next meeting is to listen carefully as you express where you are at this juncture in life, what your core values are, where you would like to be, and what might be in the way. We then lay out a course of direction, with plenty of room to work with the actual challenges that appear in your life. Our meetings are set far enough apart to allow you time in between to put our work to use in practical situations.

During our coaching relationship, I listen, evoke, direct, encourage, train, and celebrate. If you need to hone presentation skills, review fine points of business etiquette and image, practice negotiating or interviewing role plays, I’m there as your guide and mentor. You’ll be able to talk about the most important things in your life in a way that illuminates them and inspires you to fulfill the goals you want to reach.

A coaching relationship varies in its duration, depending on the individual needs of each client. My intention is to empower you as you proceed on your journey to reaching your life’s goals, and to celebrate your ability to use this process on your own for the rest of your life. As your Life Coach, it is my privilege to be a part of your growth and fulfillment, as you manifest your vision of what you want to accomplish.

Rae coaches by helping me help myself. Warm, funny and caring, she unobtrusively guides our conversation into a helpful dialogue. I have had the pleasure of working with her over many life changes and she has always wisely helped me find my next step.

At a difficult time when I was in a toxic work situation, Rae carefully listened to the issues and helped me sort out who I needed to speak with and what to say to them. As I gradually discovered that it was time for a major change in my career, Rae was there, bringing clarity, encouragement, and fresh ideas to my situation. Having made the career change I needed to make, I am so grateful to Rae for being such a crucial support to me as I steered my life in an exciting new and successful direction.
